If you are joining us for the next Learning Networks event in Glasgow on 24 May we look forward to seeing you! When registering, we asked you to fill in a short survey to give us your view on what you would find useful to be discussed during the meeting. Here’s what you told us you would like to see and how this will be a part of the day.
1. How to disseminate on a shoestring
The first thing you told us is that your biggest challenge in promoting and disseminating your project is a lack of resources and capacity. To help, on the day we will hold a panel discussion focused on promotion and dissemination, where you will be able to pose your questions around resourcing to two project coordinators from quite different types of organisations.
What is your biggest challenge in promoting and disseminating your project?
2. How can I choose the right platforms for my audience?
You told us you would like support in choosing the right platform to use for your dissemination activities. It is for this reason that we have invited a digital media practitioner, Jennifer Jones, whose specialism includes supporting digital media in community settings. On the day you’ll be able to ask her any questions around social media and promotion and she will be able to give you tailored advice based on her experiences and research.
Around what area of promotion and dissemination would you like to see a practical activity?
3. How can I make the most of social media?
From your responses, it is clear to see many of you would also like help using social media. Our digital media expert, Jennifer, has a passion for community media, working with art, educational and community groups across the UK to develop media and digital literacies and will certainly be able to advise you on any social media queries.

Along with our digital expert, you will also be able to seek advice from projects that successfully use a range of platforms to promote their projects, as well as pose questions to our National Agency communications team in your workshops. So whether you are new to social media or have experience we are here to help!
So start thinking about any questions you’d like to ask and we’ll do our best to answer these! We look forward to seeing you at the event.
