Almost €200m of UK Erasmus+ funding awarded in 2019

Almost €200 million of Erasmus+ funding was awarded to United Kingdom organisations during 2019.

The latest figures published by the UK National Agency revealed that 1,207 applications were approved last year with grants totalling €198,387,991.

The number of successful applications was the highest yet in the six years the programme has been running, showing an increase of 225 on 2018 and 206 more than the previous best of 1,001 in 2016.

The figures mean that, heading into the final year of the programme, more than 6,000 successful applications have been approved in the UK across the higher education, schools, adult education, vocational education and training and youth sectors with a total value in excess of €867m.
