The European Union (EU) is consulting on its strategy to improve the opportunities available for young people and to encourage young people’s active participation in society. The EU Youth Strategy is agreed by all EU Member States and focuses on areas that have a direct influence on young people’s lives – including education and training, employment and entrepreneurship, health and well-being.
The consultation is about activity which took place from 2010-14 and many youth organisations will be aware of the EU Youth Strategy via either Youth in Action or Erasmus+ programmes.
This is an opportunity to add your views, and those of your organisation, by responding to the survey. You can also encourage the young people you work with to put forward their own views. Both surveys take about 20 minutes to complete. The deadline for responses is 16 August 2015.
Survey findings will inform evaluation of the EU Youth Strategy to 2014 and preparation of a new strategy from 2018. They will also influence implementation of Erasmus+ (to 2020) and planning for any successor programme.
