The first statistics for the Erasmus+ 2014 applications process have been released and overall they show there has been a positive response to the new programme.
Two documents have been published today by the UK National Agency: 2014 Call Application Statistics for Rounds 1 and 2 and 2014 Call Application Outcome Statistics for Rounds 1 and 2 (Provisional). They cover Key Actions 1, 2 and 3.
There were 1,576 applications received from organisations across the Erasmus+ sectors of higher education, vocational education and training, schools, adult education and youth. Schools accounted for 655 of these applications with the other sectors accounting for 214 (higher education), 275 (vocational education and training), 134 (adult education) and 298 (youth).
These figures include 75 applications for cross-sector projects which the programme encourages.
About 1 in 2 (or 52%) of applicants succeeded in gaining funding, with a good spread of applications coming from across the UK and each sector.
Future statistical releases will be published on the UK website, including information on later 2014 deadlines for funding.
