Tenders invited for European Voluntary Service training contract

The Erasmus+ UK National Agency is inviting tenders to train volunteers taking part in European Voluntary Service (EVS) activities as part of Erasmus+ Key Action 1 Youth Mobility.

EVS projects last from two months to one year. The purpose of the training is to prepare participants to adapt to a new inter-cultural environment and to respond positively to challenges. Using non-formal learning techniques, the focus is on communication skills and teamwork.

It is expected that the training will be delivered across the UK from July 2017 to around 550 trainees. Courses last between one and four days, and are generally in a residential location with groups of up to 30 participants aged 17-30.

We require the training to comply with the European Commission’s guidelines and minimum standards for the EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle, specifically for ‘on-arrival, mid-term and pre-departure training’. The contractor must plan and organise the logistics, and deliver and evaluate the training, whilst ensuring participant safety and obtaining feedback.

The contract will be let from April 2017 to April 2018 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. We are open to contract with one organisation (or consortium) that can deliver the full specification across the UK, or with several organisations that are able to deliver in one or more of the four countries of the UK. The providers appointed will be accountable to Ecorys UK, who manage EVS in the UK as part of the Erasmus+ UK National Agency.
