UK students continuing to look overseas

Over a third of UK students are interested in studying abroad, new research has found. The ‘Broadening Horizons’ 2015 survey of almost 3000 UK students found that overall, 34 per cent of all respondents said they were interested in some form of overseas study. It also shows half (50%) of UK students who are considering studying overseas would like to do so at undergraduate level.

Latest Erasmus statistics (2013/14) show 15,566 UK students spent up to a year studying or working in another European country through the programme, up 6.8% year on year. Read some of these students’ stories.

The research will be launched at the British Council’s annual Going Global conference for leaders of international education on 2 June in London. Read the full story.
